Steve is a Chartered Town Planner with a multi-disciplinary academic background, holding degrees across Heritage, Law, and Town Planning. Over the course of his career, he has led a wide range of complex planning projects, including large-scale residential developments, brownfield regeneration schemes, enterprise parks, renewable energy infrastructure, and major leisure proposals.

His significant local government experience culminated in serving as Chief Planning Officer for Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils. He brings a deep understanding of public sector planning practice to his consultancy work and has particular expertise in advising on and appearing at planning and enforcement appeals. To date, he has appeared at over 30 hearings and inquiries across East Anglia and beyond.

Steve is known for his robust professional judgement, strategic insight, and natural problem-solving ability — qualities that enable him to navigate complex planning challenges with confidence and clarity, delivering clear and actionable advice to clients.

Beyond planning, Steve has a lifelong passion for the arts and heritage. He enjoys travelling and scuba diving in his spare time and is a Patron of the Theatre Royal, Bury St Edmunds.
